In traditional talk therapy, I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT is an evidence-based therapy that focuses on your current problems and often involves practicing skills outside of session.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing can be a helpful treatment for those who have experienced trauma or suffer from PTSD. EMDR can be conducted both in-person and virtually. Visit the EMDR International Association to learn more about EMDR.
Let's get outside and enjoy our beautiful city! We are fortunate to be located right next to Hampton Park, the largest public park on the peninsula. Walking therapy can be a good option for clients who feel more comfortable talking side-by-side or want to experience therapy outside of the traditional office setting.
While I am based in downtown Charleston, online counseling gives us the flexibility to connect anywhere in South Carolina. Virtual sessions are held through HIPAA-compliant video conferencing software.
